Australia Day

Good morning :) For my overseas friends Australia Day is THE official national day of Australia and commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788 :) IT is a PUBLIC HOLIDAY ... YAY!! People celebrate in ALL kinds of ways - music festivals, flag raising, citizenship ceremonies, races, BBQs, Beach .. the list goes on!! We are not doing much.. I have such fond memories of childhood celebrations - cooking and eating damper.. a family tradition ... some years great and others a bit damper-ish .... mm maybe I should try some gluten-free damper tomorrow ... mmm maybe haha!

I find myself having to THANK God ... I do LOVE living in this beautiful country - I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful place to live!!

Well ... I've been practising my sketching AGAIN ... and I'm quite happy with my latest results... I have done some Aussie themed images... specially for Australia Day!! :D and have decided to give all who ask an aussie day pressie... lol... yup... a freebie digi! TGF meets The Baby Sitters Club

Good morning! Yesterday was the customer chit chat at The Greeting Farm... well actually it was on Splitcoast Stampers.. but in the forum for TGF ;) It was fun to chatter with people, thou rather confusing at times! LOL!

So there were also some challenges - creating cards based on your favourite book, favourtie book turned movie and favourite children's book. After discussions in the "chat" on The Babysitters Club... which I admit was a favourite series of mine and I thought I had them all until I checked on wiki and realised that they kept going way after my reading time.. I must have only had about 40 or so?!?! will have to see if they are still at Mum and Dad's lol!

So I had a lot of fun finding all my Miss Anyas and mixing and matching them until I created the 5 position holders main girls in the club (don't worry there is a My Guy Ian reserved for Logan hehe)

So... Do you remember the books? Do you remember the girls?? My favourite was Mary Anne (but Claudia was a very close second) hahahah! Well if you remember and can name my Miss Anya lookalikes correctly I might just have to find you a little prize! :D

Took me a long time to decide on which bodies, heads to use and then a little extra alterations.. cutting and adding hair... coloured with Copics and I was done! :D I made a step card to show them off properly :D First Step card I've made... but I think I will be making MORE of them.. so simple yet so effective! :D

Heya, Just popping on to share a video I just made of me Copic Colouring "Crushin Gwen" from Some Odd Girl.... just playing with my video and imovie so that I can do MORE Copic Tutorials :D Oh and don't worry I don't colour THAT fast (although its been said I do colour too fast) ... I sped it up to 500% to save time.. showing the fastforward of the colouring process - which I've seen done by others!

Well on the 12 Jan 2008 I did my FIRST blog post on this blog... and boy has it been a fun and growth filled journey from there to here! I have LOVED meeting new friends and learning new techniques and finding new crafty addictions through this world of craft/ stamping blogging.

Good morning, Hope you are all going well and recovered from late nights to see in the new YEAR! :D I'm still tired from my late night .. must be getting old lol!

Anyway... just popping on the post my card using Surfer Kody from Some Odd Girl Stamps ...
you can read all the colours used over on the M4M challenge blog HERE. The paper used is Echo Park :)

Oh and I thought I would share these as I had so much fun and have some more fun ideas plotting too... Kristy is having a bit of fun this month... getting people to post on facebook with some "paper child" creations... you can google Paper Child to see what it is ... but you might also be able to guess from my pictures below.. 1st up after colouring Bookish Tia I sat her in front of a pile of books on top of our bookcase ...

and then yesterday when we left for church I took along Dressy Mae.. looking for a good place to put her.. and when we got to church I decided that she would look great in front of the building :D She was better dressed for church than me in my 3/4 pants - tee hee!!!

Now onto my projects... First up is the White card I made... now you were allowed to have a coloured image but I had coloured this Warm Wishes Tia elf in light greys .. and thought it would be interesting to have her on the white card... so here is what I have done...

I also have a "non-traditional" project ... I made a Christmas banner to hang in our living room .. Here is a pic of it hanging up ...

and then some close ups...

Between each word I have Some Odd Christmas images ;) Here is a peek... so although HollyDay Gwen (and a couple of the smaller stamps - eg. holly) is in traditional colours the rest certainly isn't so I think this fits that category! :D

Good morning! It's time for the Greeting Farm's annual customer blog hop! YAY!! :D I hope that you are enjoying the hop and the wonderful creations from all the wonderful crafters participating! If you have not come here as part of the hop make sure you check it out here!

I have a couple of projects to share with you today using some wonderful TGF stamps!! :D First up is the advent calendar I made... I had this ornament display stand and I "altered" it to be an advent calendar ... I used Angel Anya to sit at the top :)

You can't read it properly but I have used the following verse on my advent calendar....

Now... I thought I would show you a close up on Angel Anya....

My second holiday project is a candle.. I have coloured up this beautiful Holiday Anya on tissue and then set them to the candle... I also coloured some seambinding red to match...

I am also sharing another TGF project .. this is a Birthday card that I made for my Mum's birthday yesterday... I used the Tea-riffic clear stamps set to create this card :)

Good evening! There is a NEW challenge live at Pixie Dust Studio... and it is to use "Stitching" on your creations!! fun!! I pulled out my machine and used it to create some zigzag and some running stitch outlines... I also did one of my "usual" faux stitches ... around the red triangle!

I have used the image Tin Heart from the Pixie of Oz collection - HERE He is such a sweetie!!
The G45 Wizard Of Oz paper is the perfect accompaniment! :D

a busy little weekend!

Good afternoon .. how are you all? I hope you had a splendid weekend... we had a busy weekend.. drove 2 hours to get Guy's mum from Lake Mac ... took her to his brothers place and then went back towards the city for an Engagement party .. was lovely to catch up with some old Matthian friends although too bad that we could not stay longer... VERY excited for my friend Nat who is engaged to (from all sounds of it) a lovely guy! This is the card I made for them... using an old image I drew back in the days of Crafty Muse.

After that we went back to Guy's bro's place to do a bit of helping before sis in law's spit roast party started! Was a good night and great to catch up with some ppl there too!

Sun was our church Carols event... so Sat morning baked some brownies for the supper, then Sun arvo we went to church and helped out with some odd tasks here and there... Guy was the official photographer and took some good pics of the event! :D

I LOVED this decoration and all the other ones too but this was my fav!!

now to get back to work... Have a wonderful week everyone!!

Good afternoon! Just thought I would show you this little card I made.. this is Ruffles Marci .. a new'ish stamp from La-La Land Crafts ... I just uploaded some new to M4M stamps in my store and this is one of them... I thought I would attempt colouring her in the "no lines" technique... the ink is Angel Pink :D I did lose a couple of lines and so this is a little wonky in places but I think it worked out OK! :D

Hello .. how are you all doing? Hoping to be more organised this week and get around to some blurfing and commenting on your blogs!!! :D But for now I thought I would share some "just for fun" cards ... When I saw Krista having a sale the other day it was too good an opportunity to let slip by and was just the motivation my MOJO needed to sneak back again!! So here are a couple of the cards I've made... I have more images coloured and will hopefully share soon...

First up we have the Thankyou image .. how sweet is Krista giving this image and how sweet the image is too... I started listing the copics used but then I didn't like the end result and went over with other colours.. so sorry can't give you a list here....

Good morning!!! I am sharing today my card for the latest Pixie Dust Studio challenge... This beautiful image is D is for Dancer from 15 days of the Pixie Christmas.

This week there is a fun pic to use as inspiration... or if you are not keen on using the photo you can use the Colour palette taken from the photo.

I've gone mostly for the colours ... but I did think the Kaisercraft paper I used looked a bit like some elements in the photo ... ie the patchwork spread... OK... no more chatting here is my card..

Good morning .. It's a GREAT day ... today is the release of 4 gorgeous christmas images at SPESCH STAMPS. These 4 images are drawn by Jessica and are just LOVELY to colour! I have made a project using them all but can't show you just yet ... in the next week or so I will show you! tee hee! BUT I did colour the images up again just to show you some examples of what they can look like in colour!! And if you pop on over to the Spesch stamps blog you will see some very gorgeous creations that the DT girls have made using these images :D

Hey everyone, Our holiday is coming to a close (Boo!) and my sickness (flu or whatever it was) seems to be clearing up too! (YAY!) So will be more on board again from this coming week onwards.. although I am getting ready for a Papercraft show in Penrith next weekend so might be a little pre-occupied lol!

Anyway... I am here to post my Friday Sketch Challenge card which did not get up yesterday... blogger and me had issues!!

There is a wonderful sketch this fortnight that Tracey designed! I love it and might have to do another creation using it too! But for now here is the card I made ...

I have used "Leah" who is one of my Marker Mob - drawn to make my Copic colouring books and posters.. and I've decided to make this mob available as digis in the M4M store.. so from this week coming you can pick up your own Marker Mob to practise colouring on :)

Halloween'ish cards

Well.. I don't really celebrate Halloween!! But I have made a few Halloween'ish cards anyway hehe!! The first is for the FIRST Saturated Canary challenge ... had to enter seeing as Em so generously had given me the voucher to spend on those funky images!!! Check out the challenge blog and the AWESOME DT creations!!

There is a sketch to follow... which I have adapted a little using a flutterby instead of the three butterflies :) I also had to give this pretty girly green skin... to go with the Halloween theme and the inspiration on the challenge posting!!

and my second card is using this gorgeous Vampire Lolita from Tickled Pink stamps that Hubby bought me a digi of for my b'day! Must say it's a fun image to colour :D although tricky in spots! I sat her on top of a photo we took at Carcassonne - we took so many photos there when we were there in 2007 and I think they do make a good background in cards don't you?? The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm :D

You might notice I was a duffer and already posted for Friday Sketch challenge.. I did it too early! OOPS! sorry! so anyway I got another card done to post at the right time.. this was done with an image that I coloured JUST for fun! HUGE thanks to my beautiful friend Em who sent me a Saturated Canary gift certificate!!! Cant wait to colour up and post the other images I got too! so stay tuned!!

Kathy has GREAT stamps in the studio that are based on books and movies! so many to choose from... I am not sure exactly what my most favourite book is but have gone with an all time fav of Alice in Wonderland!

I made a very simple bookmark.. as in my opinion you don't want something too bulky in your book to ruin the pages/ stretch the book... just a marker :) But a beautiful image as the focus hehe!

Pixie of Oz Collection

Yipee!! well .. we are not in Kansas anymore.. we are in Pixie Oz land!! Today is the day that you can pick up these super fun images from the STUDIO!!!!!

I just love all the images... so I was trying to decide how to use them all on the one project ... and I remembered I had a stack of thin canvas boards.. so decided to make a canvas.. then yesterday my G45 Oz paper arrived (Big thanks to Marcia for sending me a Simon Says Stamp voucher!!)
and it all came together... OK ..well it took me a few hours colouring and cutting and then a few more hours sticking, painting etc etc .. but I like how the canvas became a bit of a collage... It shows off all Kathy's adorable Oz creatures!!

Getting organised

Do you ever find it hard to get organised?? I sure am at the moment... didn't used to be a problem for me too much when I WORKED in Admin... but now working for myself, spending the days at home I can't seem to do it!!
I am still trying to sort out my Office space... having got a GREAT desk (thanks to an old workmate of Guy's) and so I am making our "spare room" the M4M office and my desk... seems I have too much to fit in though.. and when my "space" is not organised .. I feel like my brain is not organised and then I am not great at getting what needs to be done done... like answering emails and getting on top of admin! grrrr... OK.. there is my blabbing on.. I should be quiet and get moving right?? lol! Oh but first.....Any tips are appreciated here!

Yesterday The Fabulous Kristy from Some Odd Girl finished off and sent me Mad for Markers NEW LOGO... I just love it and am so glad I can now share it with you all how cute is our little Mad for Markers girl!! I am so glad Kristy was willing and able to create this new logo for us as I just love her cute little people!!! :D

Ok.... I am now getting a bit more organised.... time for a new publication at Mad for Markers... our next printed project is......

I just HAD to share with you what arrived at our POST OFFICE last week!! The most adorable little bear!!! THANKS so much to Trace who sent me this beautiful handmade teddy... this is Betty... she will from now on be sitting proudly on my desk!!! :D is new too ... I will show you a photo of that as soon as I finish cleaning it all up/ getting organised as NOT QUITE there yet!!

Good morning!! Time for a new preview at Spesch Stamps of the gorgeous Lolitas!! This one is Bunny Lolita! My other favourite I think!! This time I printed her off quite light as I was experimenting with the "no lines effect" although I made them dark enough so that you could see the lines.. but not so there was a BLACK line around it.. what do you think??

So today was my birthday... 32 years young ... or old.. depending on what angle you are viewing from! hehe! It was a pretty good day here... spoilt by many!!

Had a pile of cards from family this morning ... and money from my parents and grandmothers... = LOTS of new COPICS!! :D

A very awesome card from my DH - Guy finally used Copics to create a card for me! Yay! Pretty cool isn't it! :) The image he used was a new digi for me from KennyK stamps ... yup... he went around all over the web buying digis for me (and also a gift certificate to Tickled Pink) .. How awesome is he! lol!!

Tonight I had some friends come over for a dessert night .. I cooked up lots of gluten free goodies today... YUMMO!! It was a lovely night!! :)

Art journaling and a fairy card

Good evening!! Just popping on to share a couple of projects with you... First up is my journal page for this week's Heart journaling at The Greeting Farm! I had a fun time again today chatting with Em online as we both journaled ... sending pics on our iphones as we progressed!

The theme for this week's journal was "Text me".

For my page I was inspired by talks we went to last night on "One Saviour" where John Lennox and John Piper encouraged the 10,000 attendees not to waste our lives!!

I was also inspired by the art journalling of Junelle HERE!!

My second project is using this gorgeous little fairy from The Greeting Farm .. she is a clear stamp and stamps up just beautifully! The "ribbon" is seam binding which I have coloured with R81.

a blast from the past

Well I have been a bit AWOL... been busy... and life and fun things like gluten free expos... I went on Sat with a friend from church and we bought up on lots of g-f goodies... including stocking up the freezer with bread! yay!!! :D
I am in the midst of cleaning out our spare room... junk room... old study...once part craft room... aka.. the other room in our 2br apartment.... so that we can put a big desk in there for M4M/ craft! Can't wait till it's all sorted and I have a permanent place for "work"!! We will also reclaim our lounge area.. as it's kinda taken over by a shop at the moment...
anyway rambling on aren't I... you do find all types of things when you do a PROPER clean out... and one fun thing I found was a tin of old clear polymer stamps... yup... ones I made with my stamp maker oh maybe 2 years ago... some of you might" remember Crafty Muse?? I used to sell my images... and then was going to do clear stamps... but things happened and I stopped...anyways... I found the stamps and had a play.. lol! Here is my result...

If you remember who she is I might have to find some kind of prize for you! lol!

a Kitchen scene

Today I thought I would share a little kitchen scene I coloured in...

The images I have used in my scene are Tiny Baker Tia ...a clear stamp from Some Odd Girl .. (attn: Aussies **** I now have in stock at Mad for Markers ***)
and a lovely kitchen background from Make it Crafty

I showed a couple of videos on Tuesday - on the Mad for Markers blog here ... of how I made the scene and how I coloured Tia!! This took me a while and I did end up wrecking it a bit when I put a layer of glue on top to "seal" it ... oh well.. it still looks OK just not AS GOOD... I did get a smudge on poor little Tia's face .. and I also smudged the white from her eyes.. oops!

Hello everyone!! Hope you are all well.. It's a splendid day here... Spring is definitely coming soon! I have two doors open, the sun is shining and the wind is blowing.. it's lovely!! A nice change!

Anyway... I came on here to show you my latest card... this is Cindy Witch.... lol! I must tell you that I got this idea from Amy ..when she turned Cinderella into a witch ... and then she also went and posted tutorials on youtube of colouring green skinned witches/ aliens + some cool Zombie ones too! So I thought I'd try out that green skin for a witch ... no more chatting...here is the picture..
So the image is Cinderella from Spesch Stamps ...and see that black cat ... I stole it from another Spesch stamps digi... it comes with the Goth Girl with Cat digi!!
*oh and....BIG THANKS and mwah to Trace for my new watermark for Spesch stamps cards... if you are perceptive you'll see that the image is not yet released... stay tuned for that one... There are some fab new releases in the next couple of months!!!

the "boo" paper is one that I downloaded from Free Digital Scrapbooking ... and the colours I used are in the piccy below I took in Instagram .. if you want to know what was where just ask :D

Right so.... one of my favourite blogs to follow is Amy's blog - a thousand sheets of paper ... well I think we have a similar love of fairies and mermaids - and so I really loved her latest release of images that she draws for All That Scraps - CC Designs... There were some little "Fairwees" and also this Mason Jar (you can see the cutest cards with these on Amy's blog)

and so I had to get the Mason jar image...there are so many possiblilies!! So I printed out the jar in a number of different ways....and one way.. the first one you get to see is below :)

That is Ocean Wavedancer in that jar and well it does feel a little cruel doesn't it// bottling her up like that but she is just so adorable!! OK OK ... I Might let her out back to the ocean later and catch another Sweet being for my jar!! tee hee!

Ok... so I am on a bit of a theme here again.. stuck in the fairytales.. lol! This is Sylvia's gorgeous Silver Fairy from Wee Stamps.. such a beautiful fairy don't you think? I just love her dress and her wings.. fun to colour!

I'm a sucker for a fairytale...

as you might have guessed already from my blog and the main cards I mostly make tee hee!!!

Anyway today I've been feeling kind of dreadful and so whilst I was bloghopping on my couch I was reminded about this great new bookclub with a twist... Pixie's Bookshelf and was inspired!

so I jumped onto the itunes store and bought my first ever ebook for my iphone... it was so easy... this is what the cover looked like on my phone.... and I love the way I can choose the book off the bookshelf.. looks like I will be filling up that almost empty bookshelf in my phone. lol!

Anyway.. I made my page nice and big and proceeded to read.... for 2 hours... until I finished! It was a light and fun little read :D and then of course whilst the book was still fresh in my mind I jumped headfirst into the Pixie's bookshelf August challenge... to create a card/project using WINGS!!! (still on the couch)

I used this Pixie Studio image that is supposed to be Romeo and Juliet.... but I think it works as Laurel and David at the fancydress dance ... ok he was in a suit there but this still kinda works right? lol!

I'm now looking forward to reading the next books in the series... I do get "caught" up in a series like this a little too easily... I'm also looking forward to see what comes next at Pixie's bookshelf!! :D

Make it Crafty

Good evening! I have a little card to share with you tonight... It uses Mermaid Cordelia from Make it Crafty.. she is so sweet and a pleasure to colour... I have layered Clear spica all over her but it doesn't show up in my photos - sorry! If you want to see just how sparkly she is you can go and look at the Spica video I posted HERE!

I have coloured Mermaid Cordelia with Copic markers ...
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E04
Pinks... RV00, RV63, RV66, R81, R83, R85, RV10, RV13, RV19

The dragonflies are also from Make it Crafty ... they are just gorgeous!! Here is a closer look (although I see now a bit blurry .. seems my eyes are playing up a bit today as I thought it was OK when I looked at it a bit ago! oops! hehe!)

I coloured and sprayed them with Lavender Spica!

I used paper that I also got from Make It Crafty and it's pretty nice to colour on... going to try it out a bit more and will let you know the results!! :D

The latest Lollipop Ladies challenge started yesterday... sorry I have not yet posted it up... was not really that well again and so spent most of the day sleeping and thus did not blog! So here is my card... the inspiration was yummy yummy Biscotti ...and this is my card....

Hello!! Today is my sister Nicky's birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHAY hun!! Hope it's been a great day!

Here is the card I made for her ....

I've used an image from Make it Crafty... as well as one of Zoe's gorgeous chippy dragonflies (bottom left) LOVE them!! :D

It's also my friend Gin's birthday today... and I will share the card I made for her tomorrow!

I've used blue under the greys to make the black hair in this image! Still perfecting this but it does give more body to the hair (section coloured black)!

OK... so I have gone a little Art journal mad lately... it is fun.. and I'm still working out what and how I want to do it... well I have a couple of journals going... I am doing The Greeting Farm's Heart Journaling "challenge" and so here is the double page spread I did for last weeks "spread Your wings" Assignment!

and then at Intermediate Certification we received a journal made from Xpress It card! whoo... so lovely!! And Mandi had one there with a few pages in it... and I was INSPIRED again LOL! So this journal will be more "Clean and Simple" .. .well - we'll see... it will MOSTLY be Copics though! :) Here's my first page....

an Inky Farewell

Today is my last day posting for Inky Impressions... I've had such a great time as an Inkette and want to say a huge Thanks to Nicole for having had me on her team (it's been a great privilege) and another BIG thanks to Tanya for all her work in organising us all!!! :D

To say goodbye - I had a lot of fun making this "cya" card... I used my most favourite Inky stamp... Angelica's Heart Socks ... and I stamped her up 3 times... fussy cutting around all of them ... although for two of them I'm sorry to have to say but for my plan to work I had to cut her head off ... I also when stamping rubbed off her hair that covered her shoulder with a baby wipe ... Then I replaced their heads with those of Winter Fashion Marlee and Lili's Present. I think it worked out quite well! :D

Copic Intermediate Certification

Whoo hoo... I have a badge! lol! I got this on Sunday at Intermediate Certification .. taught by the wonderful Mandi-Lee (she is a great instructor :) Thanks Mandi! Here's a pic at what came home with me .. including a few of the samples coloured at the class... N.B ... lots of practise is needed to perfect some of these new techniques! :D

Here is a card that I have made in the last day(s) to try and incorporate some of the new techniques taught in Intermediate Certification .. I did not "really want" to share this coloured image with you as I am not completely happy with it... I am in the process of changing her "nose" as I realise the shading there is wrong! Also one thing I am still working on and will need to KEEP working on is incorporating contrasting colours into my shadow! Anyway if I keep being too critical on myself I will never share anything here... so I'm putting it up LOL!

The image is the gorgeous Lemonade Girl from Spesch stamps .. she sure is lovely don't you think?? I do!! :D

so this is my card.... I have used Hazel baking cookies... isn't she a cute Koala! lol! I know Koalas are not meant to be pink tee hee... but she is very pretty in Pink!

The MME paper is a new paper pad I bought from The Craft Queen .. I bought a bunch of 6x6 paper pads and they came soo quickly I was thrilled :D

Lollipop Ladies :: Princess Cake

Good morning! Hope you are nice and warm and dry... it's pretty wet and cold here in Sydney today! Perfect weather for sitting inside with some coffee and cake maybe? lol... how about a pretty princess cake??? That's today's inspiration over on The Lollipop Ladies blog with the extra challenge being to add some pearls ...

and this is the card I have created for the challenge... using Blush Bonnie with the crown of Creeper Thursday (from The Greeting Farm). I have used the sketch from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch challenge... it was a fun one to follow!! Thanks Jen!

some more Art journaling

OK.. so I am enjoying this art journaling... although kinda going my own way about it and still finding my groove/ style? or maybe my style is something eclectic! lol!

Here are the next two pages I have done....

Page No.2 - This was done the other night... I wondered how my copics would go directly onto the journal page... it's quite soft paper.. so it does soak in a bit... not something I would do every day.. but worth a try! lol!

I stamped Sweet Thinking Mae.. from Some Odd Girl with Memento Ink.. then coloured her with Copics... I added the butterflies and flowers in later with a multiliner.. although I kinda wish I had not done the flowers... too late though! I was pretty cold and sick of being sick... hence the "Bring on Spring"!

The next page ... Page No.3 is a bit more complicated... I painted the page white and used the end of my paintbrush to doodle some swirls in the paint whilst it was still wet... once it was dry I used my various inks... dropping the ink directly onto the page and then moving the page around to get the ink to drip/ move... it did move mostly into the grooves left from the paintbrush... so I did a few layers... for the sand I dropped on splotches and dabbed it with a wet one to make it look rougher! I then stuck on my images (coloured with Copics in Xpress It card) and added some extra dots here and there with Copics and multiliners ... It's a kinda sweet little scene.... I used Oliver and Amelia Summer Fun and the head of Blush Bonnie and the tail from Mermaid Anya all stamps from The Greeting Farm!

Farm Fresh Friday challenge

Hello!! Yay! I'm almost better ... finally! This silly cold has taken ages to go away!!

Just got to catch up and do some crafting with my friend Ginoak - we decided to make cards (just scraping in I think) for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge which is Christmas in July! I never feel right making snowy/ winter wonderland cards for Christmas as it's so hot here in Australia in December... but it works brilliantly for Christmas in July and especially right now when it feels like it must be snowing on the mountains!! lol!

I have used my new Creeper Piper! LOVE her... especially her hat! I used paper that I received when part of the Oh, Alice Design team and we were sponsored by Nikki Sivils.. who generously sent all the Mad team members some kits to work with!! I LOVE this paper pad and don't really like using it all up but I decided to splash out for this card ...lol!

Good evening!! I hope that all is well in your part of the world :D Tonight I wanted to share with you the first page in my NEW art journal! I was inspired to start this journal by the beautiful Jess who has shown several journal pages and links to tutorials... I was also inspired by Jen and her gorgeous art canvases .

so anyway, Jess gave a bit of a challenge on the weekend to use butterflies and glitter in an art journal page.. and well ... it took me a while but I got there .. finally!

I've used stamps from The Greeting Farm ... the new Blush series :)

stamped on watercolour card ...

I've been having a bit of a play with watercolour card and copics... This was one attempt colouring directly onto the paper...it creates an interesting effect - it soaks in very quickly + bleeds heavily but it can be fun to see the ink moving.... but I must warn you that this does soak up your ink... so if you don't want to use up lots of ink at once then stick to the smooth blending card!!

I'm still battling some type of yukky virus/ cold/ flu thing ... so might not be about much in the next day or so .. think I might actually head back to bed! lol

Now you still have not seen them all.. so here are the others.. and this top one Is my favourite.. Oh, I think so it is really hard to choose a favourite though I love them all!

a note on the Rubiks cube... this was a cheapy... $2 cube at my local trash 'n treasure store! I like going in there to get craftable goodies... and this was a brilliant idea! It did not work out in theory as well... Now I was always one of those people that could never fix a rubiks cube and thought you had to peel off the stickers, yes! Then when I married my child of the 80's hubby and he had one he showed me how you could take it apart to fix it ... wow! lol... He also learnt the algorithms to fix it tee hee! So I thought he could fix this one with my pictures on it (n.b. The pictures are a bit harder to solve than simple coloured squares due to the face they turn around sideways and upside down. doh!) so when it could not be done and we went to pull it apart it broke... fortunately the glossy accents on top helps it now stay together as the purely decorative piece it is... I still would be tempted to make some more I think! mmm... maybe I should dig out hubby's real one! lol!
